Compassionate Psychotherapy To Support You on Your Healing Journey
About
My Approach
I prioritize delivering evidence-based treatments tailored to your individual needs. I am dedicated to fostering a supportive environment that empowers clients on their journey to mental wellness.
I have a prior background, supporting children, teens, adults, parents, and seniors through a variety of life transitions and challenges. My experience includes working closely with neurodivergent children, supporting their growth, communication, and overall well-being in collaborative, child-centered ways. I hold a Master’s of Education in Counselling Psychology from the University of Ottawa and have specialized training in supporting clients with anxiety, depression, ADHD, emotional regulation, relationship concerns, parenting stress, and ASD.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in warmth, compassion, and collaboration. I draw from evidence-based practices, including cognitive-behavioural strategies, mindfulness-informed approaches, and strengths-based, person-centered work, to help clients better understand their thoughts, emotions, and patterns. I strive to create a gentle, non-judgmental space where each person feels safe, heard, and supported.
Whether I am working with a child, a teen, or an adult, my goal is to help clients strengthen their sense of self, build resilience, and develop practical tools that empower them to navigate both current and future challenges with confidence. I believe that a trusting therapeutic relationship is essential, and I am committed to fostering an environment where healing and growth can take place.
Please feel free to reach out if you would like more information or are curious about beginning therapy. I would be happy to connect!
What to Expect In the Intake Session
Adult Therapy Intake Session
Your first session is a welcoming space where you can safely share what brings you to therapy and what you hope to gain from the process. We will explore your concerns, your history, and any goals you would like to work toward. There is no pressure to disclose more than you feel ready for this session is about building comfort, understanding your needs, and beginning to create a plan that feels supportive and meaningful for you.
Child & Adolescent Therapy Intake Session
For children 12 and under, the intake is with parents or caregivers only. This protects children from feeling talked about in front of them and allows caregivers to share openly about concerns, history, and goals.
For youth 13 and older, the intake can be done with or without a parent present. Teens may choose what feels most comfortable. Together, we will talk about what they are experiencing and what they hope to gain from therapy, while beginning to build safety, trust, and a supportive plan.
